Sri Krishna Janmashtami Celebrated with Grandeur in Mohali

Mohali- On the auspicious occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, a grand celebration was held at the ancient Hanuman Temple (Kuhari Wala Mandir), Mundi, Kharar, under the guidance and blessings of Mahant Sri Ram Niwas Das Ji Maharaj. The festival of Sri Krishna Janmotsav was celebrated with great devotion, enthusiasm, and splendor.

Mohali- On the auspicious occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, a grand celebration was held at the ancient Hanuman Temple (Kuhari Wala Mandir), Mundi, Kharar, under the guidance and blessings of Mahant Sri Ram Niwas Das Ji Maharaj. The festival of Sri Krishna Janmotsav was celebrated with great devotion, enthusiasm, and splendor.
From the morning, the temple premises resonated with bhajans, kirtans, recitations, and the chanting of Lord Sri Krishna’s divine leelas. In the afternoon, a magnificent decoration and captivating tableaus were displayed, with the tableau of Bal Krishna being the main center of attraction for the devotees.
From 7 PM to midnight, bhajans, kirtans, and dance-songs were performed to glorify Lord Sri Krishna. At exactly midnight, the sacred abhishek of Sri Krishna’s birth was performed with the chanting of mantras and the ringing of bells. On this holy occasion, a large number of devotees were present, seeking the blessings of the Lord through His divine darshan.
The event was graced by the presence of special guests, Sri Rohit Mishra (State Executive Member, Industries Cell – BJP Punjab) and Sri Pawan Manocha (District Vice President, BJP Mohali).
Both distinguished guests prayed to Lord Sri Krishna for the prosperity of the region and communal harmony, extending heartfelt greetings to all devotees on the occasion of Janmashtami.
Sri Rohit Mishra stated, “The temple committee has done commendable work in uniting society through faith and unity. Such religious events are crucial for connecting the youth with our great culture.”
In his address, Sri Pawan Manocha said, “Sri Krishna Janmotsav is not just a spiritual festival but also a golden opportunity to foster love, harmony, and a spirit of service in society. Inspired by the ideals of Lord Sri Krishna, we should always strive for the welfare of humanity.”
In his blessings, Mahant Sri Ram Niwas Das Ji Maharaj conveyed the message of adopting the teachings of Lord Sri Krishna’s life and the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita in one’s life. He emphasized that Lord Sri Krishna’s entire life was dedicated to establishing dharma, protecting truth, and serving humanity.
In the end, prasad was distributed to all the devotees.
