Hoshiarpur- Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar's 134th birth anniversary was celebrated in Canada by offering flowers and garlands to Baba Saheb's statue under the leadership of Engr. Surinder Sandhu, retired Xian Hoshiarpur. On this occasion, a large number of Indian followers of Baba Saheb living in Canada were present with him.
On this occasion, Engr. Surinder Sandhu said that those who were once ridiculed for studying and becoming a Patwari, they reached the post of President, Defense Minister, Chief Minister, Judge, Lawyer, DCS, SSP and other high positions by reading the Constitution written by Baba Saheb. Dalits who were never allowed to enter schools became teachers, headmasters, principals, those who were not allowed to sit in Panchayats became lawyers and judges who gave justice.
Engr. Sandhu said that the great leader of the twentieth century, Dr. Ambedkar, laid the foundation of harmony, equality and social justice in the society, which made India a strong democratic country. He said that India can become a developed country only with the humanitarian thinking and revolutionary ideology of Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar.
He said that study, join and struggle and the blue flag, elephant symbol, Bahujan Samaj Party are the right path for Dalits. On this occasion, Harbhajan Lal Virdi, Mohan Bains, Ratanpal, Dr. Rohit, Bill Basra, Roop Lal Gadu also expressed their views.
