Patiala, December 10: On the second day of nominations for the general elections and by-elections of Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayats, only 2 nominations were filed today. Giving this information, Patiala's Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development)-cum-Additional District Election Officer Anuprita Johal said that only two candidates have filed their nominations in Nagar Panchayat Bhadson. 
No candidate has filed nomination with the Returning Officer RTO Patiala Naman Markan for ward numbers 1 to 14 of Nigam Patiala. Similarly, no nomination has been filed with SDM Patiala Manjit Kaur for ward numbers 15 to 20. For ward numbers 30 to 45, PDA No nomination papers were filed with EO-cum-Assistant Commissioner (J) Patiala Richa Goyal. Similarly, candidates did not file their nomination papers with SDM Nabha Returning Officer Dr. Ismat Vijay Singh from Ward No. 46 to 60. District Revenue Officer Patiala Navdeep Singh as the Returning Officer for Nagar Panchayat Bhadson said that two candidates have filed their nominations in Bhadson. 
Returning Officer for 15 wards of Nagar Council Sanaur AMD PRTC Navdeep Kumar said that no candidate filed their nominations today. Returning Officer for 13 wards of Nagar Panchayat Devigarh SDM Doodhan Sadhan Kirpalveer Singh said that no candidate filed their nominations today. Returning Officer for 13 wards of Nagar Panchayat Ghagga SDM Samana Tarsem Chand also said that no nomination papers were filed today. Returning Officer for Wards 11 of Nagar Panchayat Ghanaur SDM Rajpura Avikesh Gupta said that no candidate filed nomination in Ghanaur either.
ADC Anuprita Johal further said that for the by-election of Ward No. 2 of Nagar Council Rajpura, the Returning Officer Executive Engineer Water Supply Division No. 2 and for the by-election of Ward No. 8 of Nagar Council Samana, the Returning Officer Naib Tehsildar Samana and for the by-election of Ward No. 16 of Nagar Council Nabha, the Returning Officer Public Works Department Executive Engineer Nabha also did not file any nomination. Returning Officer for Ward No. 12 of Nagar Council Patran SDM Patran Ashok Kumar said that no candidate filed nomination today.
 Additional District Election Officer Anuprita Johal said that candidates wishing to contest the elections will be able to submit their nomination papers to the concerned Returning Officers on December 12 (up to 03:00 pm). The last date for scrutiny of nominations has been fixed on December 13 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is December 14 (up to 3 pm).
