
Punjab Employees and Pensioners United Front handed over a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister to Chabbewal MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar*
Hoshiarpur- After the protest called by Punjab Employees and Pensioners United Front, a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister was handed over to Chabbewal Assembly Constituency MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar. The delegation led by United Front leaders Satish Rana, Kulwaran Singh, Omkar Singh, Pravesh Kumar, Harbhajan Singh Ajanoha, Rashpal Singh said that the Chief Minister of Punjab has repeatedly cancelled the meetings given to the United Front and the promises made by the government regarding the demands have not been fulfilled.

The delegation led by United Front leaders Satish Rana, Kulwaran Singh, Omkar Singh, Pravesh Kumar, Harbhajan Singh Ajanoha, Rashpal Singh said that the Chief Minister of Punjab has repeatedly cancelled the meetings given to the United Front and the promises made by the government regarding the demands have not been fulfilled.
The leaders asked the MLA to raise the voice of the demands of the employees in the assembly session and the MLA also promised to raise the demands of the employees and pensioners in the assembly and before the Chief Minister.
In the memorandum sent to the Chief Minister, it was demanded that as per the recommendation of the Sixth Pay Commission, pension should be increased by 2.59 percent, old pension scheme should be implemented on the employees of all government, semi-government, boards, corporations, local bodies and cooperative institutions recruited from 1-1-2004, all contract based delivery, outsourced and recruited employees working in various departments, boards, corporations, societies, central schemes and local bodies should be made permanent, thousands of posts abolished in various departments in the name of reorganization should be restored and regular recruitment should be done, mid-day meal workers, Anganwadi, Asha workers and facilitators should be made permanent by implementing the decision of the Honorable Supreme Court on equal pay for equal work and the minimum salary of Rs. 18000 per month determined by the Sixth Pay Commission should be given, salary and pension should be re-determined by adding 125% dearness allowance as per 1-1-2016. The arrears should be paid in cash, medical allowance should be increased to Rs 2000 per month, all the allowances stopped in the name of amendment should be restored by increasing them by 2.25 times, the remaining report of the Pay Commission related to ACP should be released, minimum salary of Rs 26000 per month should be implemented, the remaining installments of dearness allowance and arrears of 258 months should be released immediately, the letters of 15-1-2015 and 17-7-2020 should be cancelled, the arrears of the probation period including the full grade should be released immediately, the fee of Rs 2500 per month being taken should be withdrawn immediately.
The amount collected earlier should be returned by stopping the collection of Rs 200 per month in the name of development tax, the cashless health scheme should be amended and implemented, the court decisions in favor of employees and pensioners should be made public, the fatal letter of 1-1-2020 crushing the trade union rights should be withdrawn, the struggle should be stopped. During this, false police cases registered at various places should be cancelled.
Apart from the above mentioned leaders, leaders like Inderjit Virdi, Suraj Prakash Anand, Amrik Singh, Principal Amandeep Sharma, Madan Lal Saini, Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Sukhdev Singh Dhillon, Manjit Singh Saini, Rashpal Singh, Balveer Singh, Gurpreet Singh Heer, Shamsher Singh Dhami, Vikram Singh, Mahinder Kumar Mehta, Sudesh Kumar, Manjit Bajwa, Kul Bahadur, Pardumman Singh Kharal, Anupam Ratan etc were also present on this occasion.
