During this, officers and employees were made aware about safe and responsible use of internet. On this occasion, District Information Science Officer Vishal Sharma said that Safe Internet Day is celebrated every year on the second Tuesday of February.

He said that its purpose is to make users around the world aware about safe and responsible use of internet. He said that Safe Internet Day is celebrated in about 190 countries around the world. The purpose of celebrating this day is to inspire children, teenagers and families to do any online work in the world of internet in a safe manner. Its purpose is to spread awareness about the importance of taking precautions while using the internet, being cautious of the increasing cyber fraud nowadays and protecting one's online privacy.
He said that the Internet provides many opportunities for education, social interaction and business and connects people from all over the world. Overall, people get many facilities through the Internet but many risks are also associated with it. For example, nowadays many things keep happening on the Internet like online fraud, spreading wrong content, spreading fake news, phishing, data leak and cyber bullying etc.
The purpose of celebrating Safe Internet Day is to make people aware about every trend going on on the Internet, tell them how to stay safe online. If any wrong or dangerous content is seen online or on the Internet or information about cyber crime should be given to the cyber police.
During this, various departments of the district connected virtually online and got information in this regard. On this occasion, the entire staff of the Deputy Commissioner's office including Superintendent Bahadur Singh, Manohar Lal Sharma were present.
