Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 30, 2025:- Exercising powers conferred under Section 6 (1) (e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, Additional District Magistrate Viraj Shyamkaran Tidke has cancelled the license of Populous IELTS Academy firm.
The Additional District Magistrate informed that Populous IELTS Academy firm SCF. No. 12, 3rd Floor, Phase-5, Mohali, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Smt. Popal Kaur Arora (Proprietor) daughter of Shri Rawal Singh Sethi wife of Shri Navneet Singh Arora, House No. 650, Sunny Enclave, Sector 125, Kharar, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar was issued license No. 48/MC-2 dated 26-10-2016 for running IELTS coaching institute.
The validity of this license expired on 25-10-2021. The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that due to non-submission of the reply/clarification/documents (as per the Act/Rules and Advisory) sought by the licensee in response to the renewal application and non-compliance of the provisions of the license, the firm and the licensee, exercising the powers conferred under the provisions of Section 6(1)(E) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, have cancelled/cancelled the license number 48/MC-2 dated 26-10-2016 issued to the People's IELTS Academy firm with immediate effect.
Further, as per the Act/Rules, if in future any complaint etc. is received against the said company/firm/partnership or its licensee/directors/partners of the firm, then the said company/director/partner/licensee will be responsible for it in all respects and will also be responsible to compensate for the same.
