Shivalik Hills Welfare Society organised 41st Ayurvedic Camp in Sundar Nagar, a settlement of migrant labourers

Hoshiarpur- Shivalik Hills Welfare Society organised Ayurvedic Medical Camp in Sundar Nagar, a settlement of migrant labourers in collaboration with the Ayurvedic Department of Punjab Government. AMO Dr. Pradeep Singh, Dr. Deepti Kanwar, Upvaid Dr. Amanjot Kaur, Assistant Harkirat Kaur, Gurpreet Singh appointed by District Ayurvedic and Unani Officer Hoshiarpur and health workers Jyoti Puri, Neetu Singh of 'Matri and Shishu Swasthya Kendra' run by the society in the settlement examined more than 117 people who came to the camp and gave free medicines to 87 needy patients.

On this occasion, the Chief Advisor of the organisation, retired Secretary District Red Cross, Amarjeet Hamrol informed that this is the 41st camp organised by the organisation in the slums of the area during the last 6-7 years. The main objective of the organizations is to provide information to the migrant laborers living in slums about the care of mother and child before and after the birth of the child and the necessary services provided by the Punjab Government. Along with this, by holding meetings with them at different times, information is being provided about serious diseases like TB, cancer, blood pressure and medicines and small families are being motivated to have a happy family. On this occasion, the District Ayurvedic and Unani Officer said that the main objective of the Ayush Department of the Punjab Government is to provide health related information to the extremely poor and migrant laborers in collaboration with social welfare organizations and to provide medicines to the sick people. On this occasion, the Chief Advisor of the organization, Mr. Hamrol thanked the social workers of the area, Parminder Kaur, Jamna Devi and other dignitaries for organizing the camp smoothly.
