Patiala, January 27- On the occasion of 76th Republic Day, Prof. Narinder Multani, Dean Academics of the University, hoisted the tricolour at the Punjabi University campus. Like every year, this time also the children of University Model Senior Secondary School participated in the parade on this occasion.
Addressing the university employees, officers and students in the Senate Hall after the tricolour hoisting ceremony, Prof. Multani said that we should understand the importance of living with freedom in an independent country and create a society with good values ??according to the true meaning of the Constitution while contributing to the development of the country.
While talking about the national theme of this Republic Day 'Swarnim Bharat', he also made important comments about the golden history and present of Punjabi University. He said that various departments of Punjabi University have made valuable contributions in their respective academic fields and have done quality research work. The program was conducted by Registrar Prof. Sanjeev Puri.
On this occasion, Dean College Development Council Dr. Balraj Saini, Director Sports Dr. Ajita, Incharge of University Model Senior Secondary School Satvir Singh, Chief Security Officer Captain Gurtej Singh along with university officials and heads and teachers of various departments were present.
