Garhshankar 16 January- Three members of the same family have been reported dead in a road accident in village Noorpur Jattan near Kot Fatuhi on the Bist Doaba canal originating from Garhshankar.
According to this information, Gurnam Singh son Joginder Singh age (45) resident of village Manewal of Balachaur along with his wife Varinder Kaur age (42) and daughter Seerat age (7) were going to attend a wedding ceremony in Paldi in their Alto car number PB 32 U 4403. During which the canter hit the car hard, in which Varinder Kaur died on the spot and the other two injured were taken to the hospital where both died during treatment.
The people nearby told that the collision was so strong that the Alto car got badly stuck under the tanker and the deceased Varinder Kaur was taken out with the help of JCB. The canter driver fled from the spot. Police party from Saila Khurd reached the spot and took both the vehicles into custody and started further action.
