Nawanshahr - Broken roads are a big challenge for road safety. Therefore, it is important that strong road plans are implemented practically. Which includes the construction of new roads as well as the allocation of necessary funds for repairs. These views were expressed by the members in the meeting of the Road Safety Awareness Society. The meeting held under the chairmanship of Mr. Gurinder Singh Toor was conducted by Secretary JS Gidda.
Harprabhmahal Singh, Narinderpal Toor Retd: Post Master, Dilbagh Singh Retd: DEO, Principal Bikramjit Singh, Mahinder Singh Doaba, Manmeet Singh Manager were present in the meeting. The meeting discussed the work to be done to make village Barnala Kalan a role model for road safety in the district, which includes the construction of Shaheed Major Mandeep Singh Memorial Chowk.
The House decided to prepare a project to take the cooperation of aware citizens, social service organizations and administration for the utilization of the Road Safety Training Park built near Rotary Bhawan. The meeting agreed to present an awareness tableau on Republic Day. The goals were set to promote tractor trolleys with proper lights and to conduct road safety awareness seminars and training programs in educational institutions.
