Hoshiarpur- As per the instructions of Health Department Punjab and Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Pawan Shagotra, an awareness rally was taken out today on Pentavalent Vaccination Week by nursing students under the leadership of District Vaccination Officer Dr. Seema Garg. Dr. Seema Garg flagged off the rally.
On this occasion, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Kamlesh Kumari, DFPO Dr. Anita Kataria, Deputy Mass Media Officer Dr. Tripta Devi and BEE from blocks were present. Sharing information in this regard, District Vaccination Officer Dr. Seema Garg said that a special Pentavalent vaccination campaign will be run in the entire district from December 23 to December 31. During this, vaccination sessions will be organized in high-risk areas like slums, brick kilns and construction sites.
In this campaign, children deprived of vaccination, left out and drop out will be fully vaccinated. Full vaccination protects children from 11 deadly diseases. He appealed to the parents of those children to go to their nearest health center and get their children vaccinated with pentavalent as well as the remaining vaccines on time.
Incomplete vaccination hinders the complete development of the child. Therefore, get all vaccines at the right age and time as per the vaccination program. Awareness material was also released on this occasion.
