Nawanshahr/Raho- National Labour Organization (NLO) Convener Baldev Bharti State Awardee said that for the last 4 months, MNREGA workers are not getting wages for the work done by them. Due to which about 18 lakh labour families across Punjab are facing many difficulties.
He said that the details of the work done by the workers are sent by MNREGA officials to the Central Government through online system within 8 days for wage payment. According to the information received, this detail has been sent to the account of the Central Government from all over Punjab. But the wages of MNREGA workers are not being deposited in their accounts. Due to which there is disappointment and anger among the workers.
Baldev Bharti strongly demanded from the state government and the central government that the technical problems related to MNREGA should be resolved and the wages of MNREGA workers should be paid immediately in the whole of Punjab without any delay.
