S.A.S. Nagar, January 07, 2025: Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Ashika Jain informed here today that during the correction of voter lists on the basis of eligibility date 01.01.2025, the claims and objections submitted by the people till 28.11.2024 have been settled and votes have been created.
Handing over the supplementary list and CD of final voter lists to the representatives of political parties here today, she said that this list has been given on the basis of the final publication date 07.01.2025.
She said that these lists are available at the concerned BLO, Electoral Registration Officer (SDM Office) and District Election Office for viewing by the voters. One copy each of the voter lists with photo and one CD each without photo have also been made available to the representatives of all the recognized political parties of the district. He informed that if the vote of any person is still pending, he can submit his claim and objection in the office of concerned BLO or Electoral Registration Officer during continuous correction.
The representatives of the parties present in this meeting included BS Chahal (Aam Aadmi Party), Harkesh Sharma (Indian National Congress), Sanjeev Vashisht (District President BJP) and Harpreet Singh (Shiromani Akali Dal). On this occasion, ADC Viraj S. Tidarke and Sonam Chaudhary, besides Election Tehsildar Sanjay Kumar were also present.
