Prominent social worker Jagjit Singh Saini and Jathedar Kulwinder Singh said that despite repeatedly informing the authorities of the warehouses, neither proper spraying is being done nor the cesspool is taking the name of reduction.
He said that a written letter is being sent to the New Delhi office of the Food Corporation of India as well as to the top officials of the Punjab purchasing agencies of the warehouses built here, complaining in detail about their carelessness and negligence.
Jagjit Singh Saini said that every year during the rainy season, there is an attack of weevils in our area, which originates from these warehouses. The officials of the warehouses are informed. But the authorities concerned show complete indifference and indifference to the people's problem and do not provide any solution.
He said that last year also when he went to meet SDM Garshankar, a resident of the Mahalla, some action was taken after that. But this year, not even a lice is slipping on their ears.
They demanded that the officials of all warehouses should be ordered to stay inside their warehouses for one night so that they know how much Susri is disturbing the people.
