Hoshiarpur- Eye donation is a great donation, these views were expressed today by SMO Tanda Dr. Karan Kumar Saini when he was launching the Blindness Awareness Month campaign today. Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Karan Kumar Saini said that death is truth and life is a lie. A person who has come into the world must leave this body one day or the other. Therefore, every person should do some such work towards the society in his life so that people remember him.
On this occasion, Donor Incharge Tanda State Awardee Bhai Barinder Singh Masiti was also present with him. Dr. Saini further informed that every person should donate blood while alive, donate body and donate eyes after death. So that the lives of needy people can be saved, he said that by donating eyes, the lives of two people can be brightened at the same time.
Speaking on the occasion, State Awardee Bhai Masiti said that the Eye Donation Organization Hoshiarpur and Rotary Club Hoshiarpur provide free eyes to the blind. He said that the eyes of a deceased person can be donated within four to six hours of death. Any blind person can contact the above two organizations for free eye transplant surgery. Dr. Deepak, Dr. Shagun, Dr. Ruchita Gupta and other staff members were present on the occasion.
