Palledar Mazdoor Union protests against Punjab government's anti-labor tender policy, warns of state-wide strike from 11 August 2025

Mohali 6 August - Palledar Mazdoor Union raised slogans against the Punjab government's anti-labor tender policy and the Punjab government has issued tenders for 2025-26 and 2027. While in 2024, the Punjab government had promised that the basic rates of laborers would be increased after two years.

But from 30-06-2024 to 31-03-2027, the government did not increase the tender policy in any way. While inflation is increasing day by day. When the representatives of the labor union at the Food Supply Department of the Punjab government, Chandigarh, contacted the higher officials, they said that the rates cannot be increased at any cost.
On the other hand, Punjab Government's Food Supply Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak Ji is making a statement that the rates of labor are being increased every year. Then why is this poor policy being adopted by the government. In protest against which, the policy prepared by the Punjab Government has been burned all over Punjab today.
If this tender policy is not canceled before 11-08-2025 and the rates are not increased, then from 11-08-2025, a complete strike will be held by the Palledar Labor Unions in the whole of Punjab. The responsibility for which will be the Punjab Government.
