Punjab youth leave for New Delhi to participate in 28th National Youth Festival.

Chandigarh- The Youth Services Department, under the patronage of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, selected the youth to represent Punjab in the 28th National Youth Festival being organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India from 10 to 12 January 2025 and after that they were sent from Chandigarh to Delhi today.

Chandigarh- The Youth Services Department, under the patronage of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, selected the youth to represent Punjab in the 28th National Youth Festival being organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India from 10 to 12 January 2025 and after that they were sent from Chandigarh to Delhi today.
It is worth mentioning that this Youth Festival is being organized by the Government of India under the theme 'Developed India'. In which youth from 29 states and 08 Union Territories of the country are participating in cultural and developed India, young leader competitions.
The Youth Services Department today sent off the youth of Punjab from Yuva Bhawan Sector-42, Chandigarh in a special bus led by Special Secretary Sports and Youth Services Mr. S.P. Anand, IFSG. During a brief programme organized on the occasion, Chairman Punjab Youth Development Board Mr. Parminder Singh Goldy introduced himself to the young boys and girls representing Punjab and flagged them off to Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. These young youth leaders will participate in competitions like dialogue, painting, science fair, poetry writing, group folk dance and folk song, story writing etc.
The youth participating in the National Youth Festival have been selected by the department from the winners of first place in the state level youth fair and Develop India competition. The department has appointed Deputy Director Mr. Kulwinder Singh as the nodal officer to lead the Punjab contingent in the National Youth Festival.
On this occasion, Special Chief Secretary Sports & Youth Services, Government of Punjab Mr. Sarvjit Singh, IAS and Director, Sports & Youth Services Mr. Harpreet Singh Sudan, IAS wished the youth teams participating in the National Youth Festival in New Delhi and encouraged them to perform well.
