CM Yoga Shala is giving the message of healthy living to the people

SAS Nagar, January 01, 2025: As part of the efforts started by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to make the people of the state disease free and provide them good health, the message of healthy lifestyle is being given to the people of the district under 'CM Yoga Shala'. Under this initiative, yoga classes are being organized daily by expert yoga instructors at different places in the district.

SAS Nagar, January 01, 2025: As part of the efforts started by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to make the people of the state disease free and provide them good health, the message of healthy lifestyle is being given to the people of the district under 'CM Yoga Shala'. Under this initiative, yoga classes are being organized daily by expert yoga instructors at different places in the district.
Giving this information, SDM Mohali Damandeep Kaur said that under the 'CM Yoga Shala' classes being organized in different cities and villages of Mohali sub-division, efforts are being made to make the common people aware about health. He said that expert yoga instructors have been provided by the Punjab Government for yoga classes, out of which 6 yoga classes are being organized daily by yoga instructor Divyan in Nyangao Mohali.
In which the first class is held at Shivalik Vihar Nyangao from 6:05 am to 7:05 am, the second class is held at Community Center Tribune Colony, Kansal Nyangao Mohali from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, the third class is held at Binsar Mahadev Mandir, Gobind Nagar, Nyangao Mohali from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, the fourth class is held at Adarsh ??Nagar Nyangao Mohali from 1:15 pm to 2:15 pm, the fifth class is held at Rose Public School Adarsh ??Nagar Nyangao Mohali from 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm and the sixth class is held at Shivalik Vihar, Nyangao Mohali from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, where yoga training is given without any fee. Divya, the instructor of 'CM Yogashala' told that yoga classes start at 6:05 am and run till 6:00 pm. The timing of yoga sessions is kept flexible as per the convenience of the people, so that the instructor can be called at a time that suits their batch. He informed that on an average an instructor conducts at least five to six yoga sessions in a day. He informed that yoga has innumerable benefits for the body, which positively affects a person physically and mentally.
Yoga practice improves brain functioning, reduces stress, increases flexibility of the human body, reduces high blood pressure, improves lung capacity, relieves anxiety and strengthens bones. Apart from this, regular yoga practice also reduces the risk of heart diseases. Yoga is not only a physical exercise but also an effective way to cure our unhealthy lifestyle.
He also informed that at least 25 people must be enrolled in each session and yoga instructors are available in the district to guide the participants coming to attend yoga sessions. People are voluntarily participating in these sessions. Those who have not yet joined can register themselves by contacting the website cmdiyogshala.punjab.gov.in besides a dedicated helpline number 76694-00500.
Any area where there are at least 25 participants can call/message on the WhatsApp number to start their new class/session. There is no charge for the yoga classes. People can dial the toll-free number 7669 400 500 to avail free yoga training.
