Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, June 18: District Magistrate, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar Smt. Komal Mittal has issued orders under Chapter 11 (Sub-section 163) of the Indian Civil Protection Code, 2023 (46 of 2023) imposing a complete ban on holding dharnas and rallies within 100 meters radius inside and outside the boundary wall of the District Administrative Complex, Sector-76, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar.
These orders have clarified that there will be no restriction on less than five persons entering this office through the main gate of this boundary wall for submitting memorandums etc. These orders will be in force from 11 June 2025 to 10 August 2025.
Mrs. Komal Mittal said that it has come to her notice that usually rallies and protests are held by the general public, political parties and employee organizations etc. around the building of District Administrative Complex, Sector 76, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. She said that by doing this, the employees working in the office and the general public face difficulty in coming to the office.
 Apart from this, doing so can also cause damage to the building, loss of life and property can also occur. She said that this can also disrupt the law and order situation. In view of this situation, these orders have been implemented to stop these activities.
