Chandigarh- Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh on the arrival of New Year today released the New Year Calendar showing the important activities of the organization during the last year and organized a short Kavi Darbar during a literary gathering at Saini Bhawan Sector-24 Chandigarh. The program was presided over by the President of the organization Prince Bahadur Singh Gosal, in which many eminent personalities participated.
The program started with a religious shabad by Mr. Jagtar Singh Jog, after which the President of the organization Prince Bahadur Singh Gosal welcomed all the poets and writers and wished them a Happy New Year. He said that the organization did very important activities last year, due to which the organization has been completely successful in promoting Punjabi and these activities have been shown through pictures in the New Year calendar. He appreciated the full cooperation and work done by all the members of the organization for important works and expressed his gratitude to everyone.
In the second phase of the program, a grand Kavi Darbar was organized, in which Jagtar Singh Jog sang the song "Naveean Khushian Leeyani - Nave Saal De Ve Surja" composed by Prince Gosal, which was welcomed by the audience with applause. After this, the poets who sang New Year poems included Amarjit Singh Bathlana, Avtar Singh Mehatpuri, Jaspal Singh Kanwal, Bahadur Singh Gosal, Dr. Panna Lal Mustafabadi, Rajinder Singh Dhiman, Mrs. Bhupinder Kaur Dhiman, Surjan Singh Jasal, Jagtar Singh Jog.
On this occasion, Raje Kumar, Balwinder Singh, Ajaib Singh Aujla, Bhupinder Kaur, Harvinder Kaur, Sunny Kumar, Kamal Kumar, Inder Kumar, Punjab State Convener of the organization Jaspal Singh Kanwal were present. The program was conducted by General Secretary Avtar Singh Mehatpuri and in the end, Press Secretary Amarjit Singh Bathlana wished everyone a Happy New Year and thanked them.
