SAS Nagar, January 01, 2025: Under the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police, Deepak Pareek, SP Traffic, HS Mann, DSP Traffic Karnail Singh, ASI Janak Raj, in-charge of Traffic Education Cell, along with Ranpreet Singh Secretary; State Transport Authority (PB01) Punjab, organized an awareness seminar for people who came to get vehicles passed at Bhagomajra.
On this occasion, reflector tape was installed keeping in mind the foggy weather; about not driving under the influence of drugs and about traffic rules; about not driving under the age of (minor) driving; about getting compensation from the Saleal Fund in case of an accident with an unknown vehicle; about lane driving; about not using pressure horns; about environmental safety.
An appeal was made to install high security number plates on vehicles, to wear helmets when riding two-wheelers, to park vehicles properly instead of parking them on the road, to use indicators while turning left and right, not to violate red lights, not to drive any vehicle under any kind of intoxicant, not to burst crackers on bullet motorcycles and not to modify them. An appeal was made to reduce road accidents by strictly following traffic rules. Information was given on calling helpline numbers 112 and 181 to get and give help from the police, along with calling 1930 for cybercrime.
