Ludhiana- The district administration is fully prepared for the by-election to be held in Ludhiana West assembly constituency on June 19, 2025. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Himanshu Jain (IAS) during an exclusive conversation with senior journalist Sanjeev Kumar.
DC Jain said that strict instructions have been issued to make the election process free, fair and peaceful. Under these, Ludhiana West constituency has been declared a "dry area", which means that the sale and distribution of liquor has been strictly prohibited until the completion of voting.
He said that the election campaign period has ended and as per the instructions of the Election Commission, any political worker or leader who is not a resident of Ludhiana West constituency has been ordered to leave the constituency immediately.
According to him, the counting of votes will be held on June 23 and the results will also be declared on the same day.
The district administration has assured the residents that the election process will be completely peaceful and smooth and for this, complete security arrangements have been made.
