Nawanshahr- Today, the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) New Democracy, Istri Jagriti Manch and other organizations bid farewell to State President of Istri Jagriti Manch Gurbaksh Kaur Sangha with passionate revolutionary slogans. It is worth mentioning here that Gurbaksh Kaur Sangha (77) had been bedridden for about four months and was undergoing treatment.
Due to poor health, she was admitted to Sohana Hospital Mohali on August 30. Where her brain artery ruptured on September 5. After that day, she could not speak till the last moment. She passed away at 11 pm last night. Her body was cremated today at the crematorium in village Shahabpur. Her funeral pyre was lit by her daughter Navdeep Kaur. Tributes were paid to her by laying flags on her body by CPI (ML) ND, Istri Jagriti Manch, CPI, Desh Bhagat Yadgar Jalandhar, IFTU, Kirti Kisan Union, DTF, Pendu Mazdoor Union, Punjab Students Union.
Senior party leaders Comrade Darshan Singh Khatkar, Comrade Sardara Singh Mahil, State Secretary of Istri Jagriti Manch Aman Deol, President of Desh Bhagat Yadgar Jalandhar Ajmer Singh Samra, Convener of Cultural Wing Amolak Singh, Surinder Kumari Kochhar, Chiranji Lal, State President of IFTU Kulwinder Singh Waraich; Daljit Singh Advocate Baljinder Singh have termed the eternal departure of Gurbaksh Kaur as a great loss. Her relatives, friends and leaders and workers of organizations were also present on the occasion in large numbers.
