Hoshiarpur- Recently, a group of 72 teachers from Punjab returned from Finland. They were sent there by the AAP government to study the Finnish education model and get training to implement it in Punjab. 7 teachers from Hoshiarpur Amarinder Singh Dhillon BPEO Block Talwara, Rajesh Kumar, Satish Kumar, Vandana Heer, Sunita Rani, Nitin Suman, Ramandeep Singh were also part of this group.
Who returned and met Hoshiarpur MP Dr. Raj Kumar and newly elected MLA Chabbewal Dr. Ishank Kumar. They gave a presentation to Dr. Ishank on the Finnish education system and shared what they learned about it. Dr. Ishank praised these teachers and said that they should implement the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann by transforming our government schools into vibrant centres of quality education.
Dr. Raj, while listening to the experiences of the teachers, said that this is a wonderful initiative by the Punjab government and it will definitely make a significant contribution to improving our education system by equipping our teachers with world-class expertise.
The team of teachers shared that they feel more capable of contributing more effectively to bring about fundamental changes in our education system. “It was a delightful learning experience which encouraged us to rethink our teaching system”, said teacher Vandana Heen.
Both the leaders urged these teachers to share their learning with their fellow teachers and plan to initiate improvement activities. He assured that whatever support is required from these teachers to implement their ideas and suggestions in the government schools of Hoshiarpur district, it will be provided. On this occasion, Dr. Pankaj Shiv, Deputy District Education Officer Sukhwinder Singh, District Resource Person Rajnish Kumar Guliani etc. were specially present.
