NIPER SAS Nagar has organized a two-weeks intensive ITEC training programme on “Advanced Analytical Techniques: Basic Principles & Application for Quality Assessment of Drugs and Pharmaceuticals”, from 18th November to 29th November, 2024.

NIPER SAS Nagar has organized a two-weeks intensive ITEC training programme on “Advanced Analytical Techniques: Basic Principles & Application for Quality Assessment of Drugs and Pharmaceuticals”, from 18th November to 29th November, 2024.
There were a total 22 participants from 16 countries, i.e. Bangladesh, Botaswana, Chad, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Guyana, Guatemala, Ghana, Mozombique, Maldives, Nigeria, Niger, Tunisia, Tajikistan, Tanzania and Zambia with background of Drug Regulatory, Pharmacy and Quality Control, who attended this course.
Today, the valedictory function was organized in the Convention Centre of the Institute. The course Coordinator Prof. I. P. Singh presented a report of the Programme in which he mentioned that there were 18 scientific lectures conducted during the programme. There were seventeen speakers from Academia and one speaker from industry. There were ten sessions held on hands-on training on different state of art analytical instruments. More than 15 instruments were covered during the Event. The delegates were taken to Punjab Biotechnology Incubator, Mohali as a part of this ITEC program.
Prof. PV Bharatam, Acting Director and Head, Dept. of Medicinal Chemistry, NIPER in his address mentioned that the participants have learnt the techniques available today and tomorrow there may be different techniques available but it will be easy for them to understand as the principles remain the same. He further mentioned that it is very gratifying activity for NIPER and the participants have enriched our experience also.
The participants shared their experiences of this programme and mentioned about the scope of improvement in such type of future programmes. The delegates were handed over the certificates of attending this course.
At the end, the vote of thanks was given by Wing Cdr. PJP Singh Waraich, Registrar, NIPER SAS Nagar. He thanked ITEC division of Ministry of External Affairs and MoC&F for having faith in NIPER. He further thanked Director, NIPER for his guidance, Prof. PV Bharatam for sparing his valuable time, all speakers, technical staff, ITEC organizing committee and all sections of Administration, Guest House, Engineering section and Horticulture for contributing towards the successful conduction of the programme.
The two-week intensive training programme was concluded successfully.
