Today, on 28 November 2024, the annual “Dayanand Vedic Siddhant Lecture Series” was inaugurated by the Dayanand Vedic Study Chair of Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh November 28, 2024: In the first lecture of this year-long lecture series, Dr. Priyanka Arya, Assistant Professor, Department of Sanskrit, University of Jammu, Jammu, gave a detailed introduction to the Rishis on the topic “Vedic form of Mantradrishtri Rishikas”, Mantradrishtri Lomsha, Aranyani, Ghosha, Apala, Lopamudra, Presented the authentic details of Sarma etc. While presenting various references to Rishikas, Dr. Arya portrayed them as wise men, Acharyas, interpreters of the Vedas and creators of the universe.

 Quoting many mantras from the Vedas in the context of the Vedic form of Rishikas, Dr. Arya has also shown the commentary tradition of Maharishi Yaska and Maharishi Dayanand, in which women education has been confirmed.
In the presidential address, Dayanand Vedic Study Centre The chairman Prof. Virendra Kumar Alankar has presented the various aspects of women in the Vedic tradition and has shown their importance. In his speech, he has also expressed happiness that just as women used to get educated in ancient times and get high positions, in the same way, now women are also getting educated and getting high positions. Even today, women are getting educated and occupying high positions in various universities.
In the end, the coordinator of the program, Assistant Professor of the Department, Dr. Bhardwaj thanked the keynote speaker Dr. Priyanka Arya, Head of the Department Prof. Alankar and all the dignitaries present and spoke on the subject of women's education.
