
Voting for the Gram Panchayat elections in the district today, the polling teams reached the polling booths
Patiala, October 14 - Voting for the Gram Panchayat general elections will be held on October 15 from 8 am to 4 pm, for which the district administration has completed all the preparations. To conduct these elections in a completely fair and peaceful manner, polling parties of election employees reached their polling stations with election material to cast votes at polling stations in polling villages of district Patiala today.

To conduct these elections in a completely fair and peaceful manner, polling parties of election employees reached their polling stations with election material to cast votes at polling stations in polling villages of district Patiala today.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav said that all SDM presiding officers and polling officers' parties were handed over ballot papers, ballot boxes and other election material for the Gram Panchayat elections and sent off under strict surveillance of security forces. She reviewed the ongoing process of sending polling parties at Government Mahindra College here. She appealed to the voters to vote without any fear and cooperate with the administration in maintaining peace during the elections.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the election personnel to perform their duties with complete impartiality, dedication, hard work and honesty. He said that disciplinary action will be taken against any officer or employee who commits any kind of negligence during election duty. He said that 10500 election employees have been deployed to conduct these elections smoothly.
Dr. Preeti Yadav said that voters can also vote by showing voter slip or 11 other documents as proof of their identity, which include EPIC Voter ID Card, Voter Passport, Driving License, Aadhar Card, Service Identity Card issued by Central/State Governments/Public Sector Undertakings or Public Limited Companies to their employees, Passbook with photo issued by banks/post office, PAN Card, MNREGA Job Card, Smart Card issued under the scheme of Labor Ministry, Health Insurance Card, Pension Document with photo and Identity Card issued by MP MLA.
Meanwhile, SSP Dr. Nanak Singh said that the police has made proper arrangements to maintain law and order in the district and necessary force has been deployed for this. Patrol teams have also been deployed equipped with wireless. Inter-state checkpoints and inter-district checkpoints have been set up in the areas of the district adjoining Haryana and special surveillance will be kept on sensitive and highly sensitive polling stations.
Meanwhile, SSP Dr. Nanak Singh said that the police has made proper arrangements to maintain law and order in the district and necessary force has been deployed for this. Dr Nanak Singh further said that no anti-social element will be allowed to create disturbance. Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development)-cum-Additional District Election Officer Anuprita Johal congratulated the deployed election staff for successful polling and appealed to all voters to extend their support for the peaceful and successful conduct of these elections.
