On this occasion, Mr. Chaman Singh (Project Director) while addressing the students first shared information about the history of the Red Cross. After that, he said that drug addiction is now a big problem all over the world. Where young people all over the world are going towards drugs, in recent times girls are also going into the swamp of drugs.
While sharing information with the students, he said that if any kind of problem comes in your life, then you should share it with your teachers or parents. He said that under the Drug-Free India Campaign in our country, the government has opened various drug de-addiction centers, private drug de-addiction centers, so that drug addicts can be treated. We should make people aware of drugs by contributing our due share in this campaign.
Therefore, if we start from ourselves and share information about the bad effects of drugs at home, then we can save the young generation from this quagmire. Therefore, we have to start the good work from our home. Addressing the school students, he said that after school, you have to approach college for higher education, so stay away from drugs and focus on your studies.
He said that every student faces problems in his life and to solve those problems, we should take guidance from our great leaders and their lives because they faced many problems. During his speech, he also mentioned such incidents that how young children lost their lives due to the effects of these drugs.
We should also read Gurbani and literature so that we never turn to drugs in the path of life. Only by making the family drug-free will India move towards drug-free. Where diseases occur due to drug use, mental and intellectual development also stops.
Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur (Counselor) also informed about the facilities and activities of the center. She said that if a youth is caught in a disease like drugs, then he can get free treatment for one month at the Red Cross De-Addiction Center Nawashahr. She gave information about the facilities provided to the patients at the center.
On this occasion, Mrs. Deepik Khanna thanked the Red Cross team and assured that the students and teachers will implement the suggestions given by them in life.
