Chandigarh, June 29 - Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Shri Krishna Kumar Bedi said that public participation is very important for the success of the implementation of government schemes in the progress of the state. Where development gets momentum with the cooperation of the public, it is also ensured that the benefits of government schemes reach the eligible people. Public cooperation has its own role in the implementation of welfare schemes at the ground level. Along with development, there should be public awareness for programs like environment protection, water conservation, plantation, drug de-addiction campaign. All these are important topics of the present time and these can be achieved only by joining hands with the public.
The Cabinet Minister was listening to the live broadcast of the Prime Minister's Mann Ki Baat program in Danoda Khurd, Jind on Sunday. This was the 123rd episode of the Mann Ki Baat program, which the Cabinet Minister also listened to with the villagers.
On this occasion, Shri Krishna Kumar Bedi also announced to provide Rs. 25 lakh for the development works of the village. Along with this, he also asked the village panchayat to send proposals for other important development works so that their estimates can be made and the villagers can be provided with the benefits of development projects.
The Cabinet Minister said that the Mann Ki Baat program is famous all over the country. Through this program, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi directly connects with the countrymen and discusses very important topics. The message of courage and coordination of resources given by the Prime Minister is very important. The countrymen can overcome any kind of disaster and crisis by imbibing this message.
He said that the main focus of the present central and state governments is on very important issues related to the ground level like planting trees, cleaning ponds from village to village, spreading Yoga to the masses, Jal Jeevan Mission, establishment of Knowledge Centers and Atal Seva Centers at the village level.
These have the potential to bring about a complete and positive change in the standard of living of the common man. He appealed to the villagers present in the program to listen to the Mann Ki Baat program themselves and inspire others to do the same. Listening to this program inspires the common man to live a life of harmony, unity and friendship.
