The Deputy Commissioner also emphasized that our youth should be made aware that they should choose health and not drugs. Reviewing the punishment of the accused in drug trafficking cases, he said that the investigating officers of the police should be trained so that no drug trafficker is acquitted by the court. He said that chemists' association should be taken to stop the sale of drugs and continuous checking should be done.
He instructed the district education officials that they will give a certificate for each school, primary and senior secondary that no tobacco or any other drugs are being sold within 100 meters of the schools. Dr Preeti Yadav also emphasized that the people involved in drug trafficking living in the 37 hot spot drug trafficking areas identified by the Patiala Police in the district were rehabilitated by removing them from this black work. go
The Deputy Commissioner also emphasized on intensifying the awareness campaign against drugs in the district and said; That in order to keep the youth away from drugs, more attention will be given to sports and playgrounds in the district and the youth will also be involved in other extra activities. Apart from others, SP Yogesh Sharma, District Attorney Davinder Goyal, District Social Security Officer Jobandeep Kaur Cheema and Inspector Sarpreet Kaur Kaura were also present in the meeting.
