Hoshiarpur - On the occasion of Police Shaheedi Diwas, tributes were paid to the martyrs of the police department and paramilitary forces who laid down their lives to maintain the unity, integrity and law and order of the country during a memorial function organized at the Police Line here today.
On this occasion, various officers including Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal and District Police Chief Surendra Lamba and family members of the martyrs paid tribute to the martyrs and remembered their exemplary sacrifices. Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that the sacrifice of the martyrs can never be forgotten. He said that the district administration worships the martyrs of the country.
On this occasion, SSP Surendra Lamba, while paying tribute to the martyrs, said that the sacrifice of the martyrs can never be forgotten and the district police always pays tribute to the martyrs and is committed to provide all possible help to their families. He said that the district police is standing shoulder to shoulder with these families.
He said that Constable Amritpal Singh was martyred while performing his duty last year, whom the district police salutes and the district police is very proud of these martyrs. On this occasion, mementos were also presented to the families of the martyrs.
