Nawanshahr - Ms. Babita, IAS (CEO State Health Agency, Punjab) appointed by the State Election Commission for Gram Panchayat Elections-2024 for District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar scrutinized the nomination papers today at various places in the district. The work of Expressing satisfaction over the arrangements made by the district administration on this occasion, the election observer said that the State Election Commission is fully committed to conduct the elections in a fair, free and peaceful manner and proper arrangements have been made in this regard.
The election observer asked the officials to strictly follow the instructions and rules of the State Election Commission to ensure that these elections are conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner. He said that the people's faith in the election process and democracy should be restored, so the returning officers should ensure to discharge their responsibilities with full diligence and honesty.
He informed that the last date for withdrawal of nominations is 07.10.2024 (Monday) till 03:00 PM. Voting will be held on 15.10.2024 (Tuesday) through ballot papers from 08.00 AM to 4.00 PM. After the completion of polling, the counting of votes will be done on the same day at the polling station itself.
