Saplings will be planted in the name of newborn girls in all the blocks of the district - Komal Mittal

Hoshiarpur - A review meeting of 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao' scheme was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, in which officials from various departments participated. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner expressed satisfaction over the progress of this scheme and took several important decisions. He said that saplings will be planted in the name of newborn girls in 10 blocks of Hoshiarpur district.

Hoshiarpur - A review meeting of 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao' scheme was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, in which officials from various departments participated. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner expressed satisfaction over the progress of this scheme and took several important decisions. He said that saplings will be planted in the name of newborn girls in 10 blocks of Hoshiarpur district.
He said that this initiative will be a symbol of environmental protection as well as promoting the dignity of newborn girls.
Apart from this, many new schemes will also be started for girls and women in the district. These include free driving training for girls and women and free coaching classes for girls. The Deputy Commissioner said that the aim of these programs is to make girls and women self-reliant and provide them with the necessary skills to stand on their own feet.
Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal also said that more and more girls and women should be encouraged to participate in the Mega Employment Fair being organized by the District Employment and Business Bureau on August 27. He said that this job fair will provide new employment opportunities to women, through which they will be economically empowered.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the officials to implement these schemes in a timely manner through their respective departments and ensure that their benefits reach maximum number of girls and women. He said that this initiative is an important step towards the empowerment of girls and women in the district, which will bring constructive changes socially and economically.
On this occasion, District Program Officer Hardeep Kaur, District Development Fellow Zoya Siddiqui, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Kamlesh, Assistant Director Youth Services Preet Kohli, Deputy District Education Officer Dheeraj Vashisht, District Employment Officer Sanjeev Kumar and a group of Child Development Project Officers and other departments Officials were also present.
