Chandigarh, March 24- The Punjab government has approved 16 agencies to speed up the process of adoption of children by prospective parents. This information was given by Women and Child Development Minister Baljit Kaur on Monday.
She said that the government has created 176 new posts to ensure the welfare and rights of orphaned children. She said that the new employees will play a significant role in making the adoption process hassle-free, fast and completely transparent.
The minister claimed that continuous efforts are being made to maintain ethical standards in the process of adoption of children and to provide every child the opportunities they deserve.
