Garhshanker, June 17: There is a big relief news for the residents of village Shahpur. The long-standing drinking water problem has finally been resolved, the credit for which goes directly to the Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly and MLA of Garhshanker constituency Jai Krishna Singh Raudi.
Due to the personal interest of the Deputy Speaker and continuous efforts at the ground level, the water supply system was restarted in the village by installing a new motor and other necessary equipment. Now the villagers will be able to get clean and potable water every day.
Local residents and panchayat members expressed happiness and said that the Deputy Speaker has always been at the forefront for the welfare of the people of the constituency. Due to his efforts, today our village has become free from a big problem.
On this occasion, Jai Krishna Singh Raudi said, "I am fully aware of the problem of village Shahpur. Drinking water is not only a government responsibility, but it is also a service to humanity. It was my duty to get it resolved immediately." He also said that wherever there is a shortage of drinking water or other basic facilities in other villages of the constituency, immediate action will be taken to resolve it.
On this occasion, apart from Deputy Speaker Rodi, village Sarpanch Harvinder Singh, Panch Babu Singh, Hardeep Kaur, Harpreet Kaur, Didar Singh, Charanjit Kaur, Harvinder Saini, Malkit Singh and Amarjit Singh were present.
