
Publication of "Bharatikavyam" by Punjab's Sanskrit Poet Prof. Alankar
Chandigarh, July 24, 2024:- The new Sanskrit poetry book "Bharatikavyam" by Prof. Virendra Kumar Alankar of the Sanskrit Department, PU, has been published by Vidyanidhi Prakashan, Delhi. The Hindi commentary and interpretation of this Sanskrit poetry have been done by Dr. Alankar Sushma, Head of the Sanskrit Department at DAV College, Sector-10,
Chandigarh, July 24, 2024:- The new Sanskrit poetry book "Bharatikavyam" by Prof. Virendra Kumar Alankar of the Sanskrit Department, PU, has been published by Vidyanidhi Prakashan, Delhi. The Hindi commentary and interpretation of this Sanskrit poetry have been done by Dr. Alankar Sushma, Head of the Sanskrit Department at DAV College, Sector-10, Chandigarh, and edited by Prof. Dr. Sudhir Kumar Arya of JNU.
In April 2024, another epic poem "Hansamanasam" by Prof. Alankar was also released. Thus, this is the second poetry book by Prof. Alankar to be published this year, bringing his total published Sanskrit poetry works to six. It is known that the epic "Hansamanasa" by Sanskrit poet "Alankar" has been recognized as excellent for research purposes in several universities, and "Bharatikavyam" is also being considered for inclusion in the curriculum. This poetry book makes a good attempt to present the beauty and history of Sanskrit in a poetic style.
Prof. Alankar has been honored with many state awards for his contributions to Sanskrit literature and scriptures. This book holds significant importance in Punjab's contribution to Sanskrit literature.
