Nawanshahr - Under the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Rajeev Verma, a self-employment loan camp was organized at District Employment Generation and Skill Training Department Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar with the support of SC Corporation.
In this camp, 65 candidates who wanted to start self-employment in Scheduled Caste sewing, beauty parlor, salon, mobile repair, dairy farming, welder, carpenter etc. occupations submitted their documents. Out of which the applications of 20 candidates were found correct for the loan process and these applications were further processed for subsidy based loans and the cases of the rest of the candidates were not processed due to lack of relevant occupation documents.
 Apart from this, a placement camp was also organized at the District Employment and Business Bureau In which 24 candidates were interviewed by Satya Micro Finance Capital Company Out of which 12 candidates have been shortlisted for the job. Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Rajeev Verma participated in this camp and interacted with the candidates and representatives of the placement company. They also instructed to take up such public welfare activities at the block level. On this occasion, District Employment Source, Skill Training Officer Sanjeev Kumar along with the entire staff of the Bureau, SC Corporation's Avtar Singh and Surinder Kumar along with Punjab Skill Development Mission's Shammi Thakur, Sumit Sharma and Raj Kumar were present.
