The organization's District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar President Surinder Singh Bains, State Committee Member Bhupinder Singh Waraich and District Secretary Tarsem Singh Bains have said that the Aam Aadmi Party's Punjab government has embarked on a suicidal path of crushing every democratic struggle of the people of the state through the police force after the party's defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections.
He said that the attitude of the Bhagwant Singh Mann government of Punjab towards the long-running campaign by the landless Dalit class, which is among the most affected people in the society, to distribute 927 acres of land of Bechirag village of Jind Raja among the landless is indicative of its disgusting habit of ignoring the legitimate demands of the people.
He said that today the police stopped the groups coming to settle Begumpura by putting up barriers, pressurized them and arrested hundreds of people. This shows that after the farmers, now the AAP government has started crushing the struggle of Dalits by force.
The farmer leaders said that after the defeat in the assembly elections in Delhi, the AAP government has turned the state into a police state. Police force is being used on every democratic struggle of the people of the state.
The leaders said that suppressing the leaders of the Land Acquisition Struggle Committee, who have been raising their voice for the rights of the oppressed Dalit people for centuries, exposes the anti-Dalit and anti-labor face of the Punjab government.
