Hoshiarpur- Thind Eye Hospital Jalandhar/Hoshiarpur Chief Surgeon Dr. Saurav Mittal promised full cooperation to the representatives of Rotary Eye Bank and Corneal Transplantation Hoshiarpur. Rotary Eye Bank Chairman J. B. Bahl, under the leadership of Professor Daljit Singh and Ashwani Kumar Dutta, discussed in detail with the hospital in-charge Dr. Saurav Mittal about the social work being done by the institution.
Mr. Bahl told Dr. Saurav Mittal that elderly patients suffering from corneal blindness have to be sent to other cities for treatment, which is inconvenient for them, on which Dr. Saurav Mittal assured the society of replacing the butterflies without any cost.
Thind Eye Hospital, which is considered one of the leading and foremost eye hospitals in Punjab, has already been contributing in this direction. Dr. Mittal told the Chief Incharge of his hospital, Prateek Gupta, that any corneal blindness patient referred by the Rotary Eye Bank will be operated on free of cost by Thind Eye Hospital.
While the members of the Rotary Eye Bank appreciated the contribution of Thind Hospital, the members of the Rotary Eye Bank also thanked the Chief Surgeon and staff of Thind Eye Hospital, Hoshiarpur.
