During the lecture organised by the college's English Department under the leadership of Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera, Resource Person Prof. Navdeep Singh English Department gave an informative lecture through power point presentation.
He explained in detail about different sections of newspapers, headlines, articles, editorials and opinion articles. He termed newspaper reading useful for improving vocabulary, language skills and general knowledge for students who are preparing for government jobs. Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera in his address encouraged the students to use the library, develop a habit of reading newspapers. He emphasised on the relevance and credibility of print media even in the modern digital age.
He praised Secretary Education Engr. Sukhminder Singh and said that his inspiration and vision encourage students to strive for life-useful communication skills. The lecture was organised in collaboration with Prof. Poonam and was attended by the Head of the Department of English, Prof. Ritu Singh, Prof. Lakhwinderjit Kaur, Prof. Jatinder Kaur and Prof. Kanwaljit Kaur.
