According to information, Indian nationals, including students, reached Delhi after being safely evacuated from Iran late Friday night and Saturday morning after the escalation of military confrontation between Iran and Israel. India had announced the launch of Operation Sindhu to evacuate its citizens from Iran on Wednesday.
“India has safely evacuated 290 Indian nationals, including students and religious pilgrims, from Iran through a chartered flight. The flight arrived in New Delhi at 23:30 on June 20 and was received by Secretary Arun Chatterjee.”
He said, “The Government of India is grateful to the Government of Iran for facilitating the evacuation process.” In another post, he shared details about an evacuation flight that arrived from Turkmenistan.
He said, “Operation Sindhu is ongoing. A special evacuation flight from Ashgabat, Turkmenistan arrived in New Delhi at 03:00 on June 21, bringing Indians home from Iran.” With this, 517 Indian nationals have returned home from Iran under Operation Sindhu so far.
