Indian junior archers reach three finals of Asia Cup Stage 2.

Singapore, June 19 - Indian junior archers continued their dominance with a bang in three team finals at the Asia Cup Stage 2 here on Thursday. The second-seeded Indian men's recurve team defeated fifth-seeded Bangladesh 5-1 in a one-sided semi-final to set up a top-seeded clash with third-seeded Japan. The trio of Vishnu Chaudhary, Paras Hooda and Jewel Sarkar dominated from the start and won the opening set 55-48. Although the second set was tied at 55-55, the Indians came back strongly and dropped just one point in the third set, winning it 59-56.

India also secured a medal in the compound men's team event as the trio of Kushal Dalal, Ganesh Thirumuru and Mehr Apar defeated fifth seeded Australia in a shoot-off (30-29) in a tight semi-final. India will face Kazakhstan in the final.
The top-seeded Indian compound women's team, comprising Shanmukhi Budde, Tejal Salve and Tanishka Thokal, confirmed another medal by defeating fourth seeded Kazakhstan 230-229 in a thrilling semi-final. They will face Malaysia in the final.
On the other hand, the Indian women's recurve team suffered a disappointment. The trio of fifth seed Vaishnavi Pawar, Kirti and Tamanna lost a thrilling quarterfinal to fourth seed Japan in a shoot-off (26-28) after five sets of play. 
They lost the opening set 47-49 and fell further behind in the second set, scoring just 34 points to Japan's 55. Japan led by just two points in the shoot-off. Indian archers are also in contention for four individual medals on the closing day on Friday. 
Meanwhile, the women's compound final will be an all-Indian affair, with Shanmukhi taking on Tejal for gold. In the men's compound category, India will be in contention for both the gold and bronze medal matches. Kushal will face Australia's Joshua Mahon for gold, while Sachin Chechi will take on Bangladesh's Himu Bachchar for bronze.
