Sao Paulo, June 21 - A hot air balloon carrying 21 passengers crashed in the southern state of Santa Catarina here, killing eight people.

According to the state fire department, panic spread among the people sitting in the balloon for tourism after the fire broke out. The balloon caught fire after taking off and crashed in the city of Paraíba Grande.
According to the fire department, 13 survivors of the accident were admitted to nearby hospitals.
