Garhshankar (Hari Krishan Gangar):- Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Garhshankar and Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Legislative Assembly, Jai Krishan Singh Rouri, has been declared the party’s candidate from the constituency for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections for the third consecutive time. Following the announcement, he launched a public outreach campaign and expressed gratitude to the party leadership and the people.
As part of the campaign, Rouri paid obeisance at Mata Sheetla Devi Temple in Adda Jhungian and prayed for the progress, prosperity, peace and mutual brotherhood of the region. Thereafter, he took out a foot march through the market along with party leaders and workers. During the march, he met shopkeepers, traders and local residents, listened to their problems and assured them that efforts would be made to resolve their concerns.
Rouri said that the trust reposed in him by the people was a great responsibility, which he would fulfil with complete honesty and dedication. He reiterated his commitment to remaining among the people and continuing to work for the overall development of the constituency and better public facilities.
He also thanked party leaders, workers and volunteers, saying that grassroots workers were the real strength of the party. The public outreach campaign would continue in the coming days.
On this occasion, organisation in-charge Charanjit Singh Channi, Market Committee Chairman Baldeep Singh Saini, Youth President Prince Chaudhary, block presidents, members of the social media team, representatives of village panchayats, senior leaders, office-bearers and a large number of party workers and volunteers were present.
