Garhshankar/Hoshiarpur (Hari Krishan Gangar):- Punjab Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker and Garhshankar MLA Jai Krishan Singh Rouri held a special meeting with officials of various departments to review preparations for the grand religious events to be organised at the sacred land of Sri Khuralgarh Sahib in connection with the 650th Parkash Gurpurab of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji. During the meeting, he obtained detailed information about the preparations being made to ensure the smooth conduct of the events and issued necessary directions to the officials.
During the meeting, Deputy Speaker Rouri said that the 650th Parkash Gurpurab of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji is an extremely significant and historic occasion for the entire Sangat. Sri Khuralgarh Sahib is a sacred place that has a special connection with the life journey and historical heritage of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji. Therefore, preparations for the events to be held here should be made with complete devotion, seriousness and proper planning.
He said that a large number of devotees are expected to arrive for these historic events from different parts of Punjab as well as from across the country and abroad. Keeping this in view, robust arrangements must be ensured for the movement of devotees, vehicle parking, road repairs and management, clean drinking water, sanitation, lighting, healthcare facilities and security.
The Deputy Speaker instructed officials of various departments to prepare a roadmap for the works related to their respective departments and complete them within the stipulated time. He made it clear that devotees should not face any inconvenience due to negligence on the part of any department. All departments should work in mutual coordination and ensure continuous monitoring of the arrangements.
Emphasising traffic management in particular, he said that an appropriate plan should be prepared to ensure smooth traffic for devotees arriving at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, so that no traffic problems arise during the Gurpurab celebrations. In addition, proper arrangements should also be made for emergency medical services, ambulances, medical teams and other essential facilities.
Rouri said that Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji gave all of humanity the great message of equality, mutual brotherhood, shared harmony and service to humanity. His teachings continue to guide society in the right direction even today. He said that while ensuring maximum participation of the Sangat in the 650th Gurpurab celebrations, special care should also be taken to maintain religious traditions and the sanctity of Sri Khuralgarh Sahib.
He said that these events are not merely religious celebrations but also an important opportunity to take the great philosophy, universal brotherhood and historical legacy of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji to the new generation. Therefore, every official and concerned department must discharge their responsibilities with complete dedication and sincerity so that these historic events can be conducted smoothly, peacefully and in an organised manner.
During the meeting, various administrative aspects related to the events were discussed in detail, and necessary directions were issued to the officials for further action.
