Nawanshahr, - About 8.50 lakh quintal sugarcane has been crushed by the mill during the season 2023-24. The mill is running at its full crushing capacity And some time ago it was requested by the zamindars that their retained money per quintal be deducted till the time their bond supply is 85% which the Board of Directors held at the mill on January 01, 2024 According to the approval given in the meeting, the additional amount deducted from the first system up to January 09, 2024, approximately Rs. 10.03 crore has been sent to the accounts of the respective zamindars. And from January 10, 2024, the retained money will be deducted as per the new system. About 93% of the sugarcane purchased by the mill so far has been remitted to the accounts of the zamindars. This information was given by the general manager of the mill, Surinder Pal. On this occasion all Board of Directors Jagtar Singh, Mohinder Singh Roy, Haripal Singh Jadli, Sohan Singh Uppal, Sartaj Singh, Bibi Surinder Kaur, Kashmir Singh, Charanjit Singh, Gursevak Singh Liddhar, Harinder Kaur were also present.
