Nawanshahr- The Punjab government has decided to celebrate Shaheed-e-Azam S. Bhagat Singh's martyrdom day on March 23 as a state level function at Khatkar Kalan. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh today during a meeting with officials at the District Administrative Complex to run this function smoothly.
He assigned duties to various officers and directed that preparations for the function should be started from now itself. During this, he gave necessary guidelines regarding security, parking, barricading, pandal, stage, temporary toilets, cleanliness, medical assistance, decoration, sound system, drinking water, fire brigade, uninterrupted power supply, refreshments, publicity and other arrangements.
He urged the officers to perform their duties with full hard work, dedication and spirit of service so that this function can be organized successfully. Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Rajeev Verma, SDM Banga Vipan Bhandari, SDM Balachaur Ravinder Bansal, Assistant Commissioner (J) Rohit Jindal and CM Field Officer Jagdeep Singh besides officers from various departments were present on the occasion.
