Nawanshahr, April 28- Today, the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) New Democracy paid tribute to the martyrs of Pahalgam.
Expressing its views on the occasion, party leaders Daljit Singh Advocate and Kulwinder Singh Waraich said that their party strongly condemns this innocent killing and expresses deep sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased. These killings neither serve the democratic aspirations of the Kashmiri people nor are they in the interest of any religion. It is noteworthy that in Kashmir, especially Muslims have come out on the streets against this heinous attack.
This attack is a clear example of the political and administrative failure of the RSS-BJP government, which has complete control over the security forces deployed in Jammu and Kashmir as Jammu and Kashmir is a Union Territory. The RSS-BJP had claimed that the root of the violence in Jammu and Kashmir was Article 370 and 35A, but after their abrogation on August 5, 2019, all claims of Jammu and Kashmir and the situation being normal have been proven false. 
The central government has resorted to all kinds of coercion to suppress the democratic voice. There have been large number of arrests and attempts to suppress every voice including the media. But still these steps have proved to be unsuccessful. Therefore, the central government is fully responsible for the failure to protect tourists. 
For this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah should resign. The leaders said that these mass killings of Hindu tourists in Pahalgam have taken place at a time when the US Vice President was on a visit to India. Sikhs have been killed in Chittisinghpura before. The incident happened when US President Bill Clinton visited India and the Pulwama attack also took place just before the elections.
 The timing of the killings casts doubt on the circumstances. Therefore, it is necessary that a full investigation be conducted into the Pahalgam killings and the failure to protect civilians. This investigation should be a judicial inquiry at the highest level so that all the facts are brought before the people. People should oppose the war atmosphere being created.
The RSS-BJP leaders, in whose state these killings took place, are now trying to exploit this incident politically to deepen the religious divide, although people of all religions have condemned it. The current government is eager to take political advantage of the situation. 
Therefore, all progressive, democratic and peace-loving elements should thwart attempts at religious division and prevent killings from being used to spread caste-religious poison.
The attack on the tourism industry has also caused huge damage to the income of shopkeepers and small traders.
