Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal meets Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

Hoshiarpur- Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal met Union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari and submitted a memorandum for the early start of construction work of Hoshiarpur to Tanda road, on which the Union Minister assured that the construction work of the road will be started soon.

Dr. along with Lok Sabha member from Sri Anandpur Sahib Malvinder Singh Kang Raj Kumar Chabbewal said during the meeting with the Union Minister that the construction of the Hoshiarpur-Tanda road, which is 27.9 km long, will cost Rs 28.86 crore. He further said that during the meeting with the Union Minister, a demand has also been made for the early completion of the unfinished work of the Hoshiarpur-Jalandhar road and he has assured that the stalled work of this road will also be started soon. 
Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that the administration faced difficulty in acquiring land in the places where the road has not been constructed yet on the Hoshiarpur-Jalandhar road, due to which the work was stopped, but now Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain has assured to complete the land acquisition process soon in the coming time, after which the construction of the road will start. He said that the stalled work of the Adampur flyover is also being started soon.
It is worth mentioning that the length of Hoshiarpur-Jalandhar road is about 38 km and due to incomplete construction of the road at many places, the passers-by are facing difficulties. Lok Sabha members Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal and Malvinder Singh Kang said that the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab is fully serious about the issues of the state and during the ongoing current session of the Lok Sabha, strenuous efforts are being made to resolve the issues related to the state by raising them.
