Mahilpur - As per the guidelines of Health Department Punjab, Primary Health Center Posi Under the able leadership of SMO Dr. Raghbir Singh, Navami and Kanjak Puja were performed in 6 sectors of PHC Posi and on this occasion, programs were organized to give the message of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao. Dr. Raghbir Singh ji said that these programs were organized in all the areas where all the field staff L.H. Weiss, Health Inspector, C.H.Oz, A. N AIIMS, multi-purpose health workers and Asha workers were present and Kanjak puja was performed. On this occasion, SMO said that nowadays there is no difference between daughter and son, rather daughters are making their parents proud in every field and are serving on big posts. He said that the Health Department is fully committed to strictly implement the PCP NDT Act and we should also extend our support to all those who create awareness to change the backward thinking of a few people towards girls. He said that due to the PCP NDT Act 1994, awareness has increased in the society, due to which the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign has received a very good response. During this, he specifically asked the Asha workers to conduct awareness activities under the PCP NDT Act at their village level. He also asked to spread more awareness in this regard among the people of the villages. He said that testing and testing the sex of the fetus is illegal. According to this law, strict action is taken against the person or organization doing so. On this occasion, Asha workers and ANMs were especially asked to make pregnant women aware of not discriminating between boys and girls, so that a good society can be built.
